Raleigh Beer Garden

April 09, 2018

I don't know why we waited so long to have dinner at Raleigh Beer Garden.  We have been in a few times for drinks with friends but we had never ordered food.  Wanting to get out of the house to watch basketball, we decided to give it a try!  Let me tell you, we were missing out!  First, the beer menu (which is online) has 300+ beers listed on it by the type of beer.  There has to be a beer there to make everyone happy.  You can ask for a flight of beers, tell them what you like, and they will put together a special flight of beers just for your taste buds.  The service was incredible.  We didn't have to wait long at all for our drinks or food.  Oh, yes, the food.....  as an appetizer, we ordered the "RBG Mac Bites" which are fired mac and cheese bites (crunchy on the outside, cheesy on the inside) served with honey sriracha glaze and beer cheese dipping sauces.  Yes, they are absolutely as good as they sound.  I am a sucker for Italian sausage, as it reminds me of the fall, and when I saw it on the menu, I knew what I was going to order.  At Raleigh Beer Garden, the Italian sausage is served with sautéed peppers and onions on a pretzel bun and I topped it with the grain mustard and their frites (beer battered potato fries).  Heather went for the pizza.  She decided on the house made Benedict pizza which is a thin crust pizza, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, mushrooms, baby arugula and shaved parmesan that is drizzled with white truffle oil.  The pizza was very impressive as the flavors all complimented each other nicely.  We didn't get a dessert as you can imagine we were full from the food we ordered.  We can't wait to go back when the warmer weather finally arrives and we can enjoy sitting outside on one of their many patios.  I can guarantee you that Raleigh Beer Garden is no longer off of our radar!  We will definitely be back to enjoy the wonderful beer and food again very soon!
