It’s been a while since Heather and I made it out for a date night for one reason or another but the wait is over! Saturday night we finally tried Seoul 116 on West Street in Downtown Raleigh. Wow! I love Korean food so I was ready to be the Judge. Let me tell you, Seoul 116 did not disappoint! We decided to try out the menu and share dishes. We had the beef tartare, Korean fried chicken wings, spicy pork sliders, spicy tuna hand roll (basically sushi but open) and soy garlic tempura shrimp. My favorite was the spicy pork sliders. They were topped with sriracha mayo and pickles jalapeños on them which complemented each other well with the pork. Heather’s favorite was the garlic tempura shrimp. Honestly, I think she liked it because they were served in a cast iron skillet but they had a special honey type of sauce which she really liked. Everything was excellent. In addition to the wonderful food, we were able to sit outside on their beautiful patio (which has fans!)! We would love to go back to this restaurant and even take out of town guests in the future. If you want to expand your taste buds, you should stop in sometime when you are out in downtown Raleigh!
