***Our Favorite Restaurant Alert*** Sitti has been a very special restaurant to us throughout our relationship so we make it a point to go back every so often. It's always a treat. We highly recommend making a reservation if you are planning a trip to Sitti because they do stay pretty busy. We usually start with one of their specialty cocktails if we have to wait for our table. This time we both started with a 137 South which is vodka infused with shredded cucumber, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. It was very refreshing considering how warm the weather had been that day! As we waited for our table, I always appreciate how Sitti feels. It is a very open, naturally lit restaurant with a welcoming vibe that Heather and I both enjoy. Once we were sat at our table, we jump right in to the appetizers. Everything on the menu always looks good but we always go with the Dip Trio. It varies with what we order and this time we chose avocado hummus, baba ghanouj (roasted eggplant with spices and olive oil) and laban bi khiar (fresh yogurt blended with cucumber, garlic paste, lemon, mint) and they serve all of this with their freshly made, hot naan bread. It's heavenly. We literally have to move the basket or we will fill up on just the nann bread. For our entrees, we both got the kabobs which just like everything else are always cooked to perfection and taste amazing. Heather got the shrimp and I got the chicken. For dessert, which unfortunately is missing from the picture, our server suggested we get the featured sherbet, house-made blueberry sherbet. We couldn't eat it all, but it definitely was a treat. No sooner than we walk out of Sitti, Heather and I are ready to go back and eat there again. You should absolutely try it the next time you are in Downtown Raleigh!
